about
This was the first song that Seth and I completed when we started playing together. We took our time developing the nuances of this very complicated piece. It is fan favorite at our shows and we usually end the performance with it because of it's intensity. This is kind of a kitchen sink tune, Seth plays tabla and drum set and, I play bass, looping, and foot pedals. We both have solo sections and an extended rhythmic unison as a bridge. Also, Jackie Chan is the man and we thought that with a piece with this heavy on it's complexity, it should share a name with a man who's dedicated his life to doing the craziest stuff a human can do!!
A jaw-dropping experience from start to finish...The entire album tosses and turns like a seductive, hyperactive Levantine belly dancer after too much strong Turkish coffee. My all-time favorite title, and my neu-mann
The latest EP from CTS is a triple album- part 1 being this 23 minute long prog epic in the spirit of Tales from Topographic Oceans, and it kicks major ass.
Part V is guest-written by Panzerballett frontman and insane jazz-metal visionary Jan Zehrfeld, whose signature style of writing impossibly dissonant and djenty arrangements without discarding the original character of the piece ("crassing," as he calls it) is instantly recognizable.
If you can catch these guys live, I HIGHLY recommend it. Deidre House
Consider the Source is the reason I wake up in the morning sometimes, if the earth goes down the toilet, at least there is Consider The Source, at least humanity ended up producing these three humans who created this music. Thought provoking, emotional prog. They are always trying to better themselves as musicians and, I would imagine, people. They consistently outdo themselves every time I see them play, they've recently been playing Radiohead sets which are unbelievable. This album is one of my all time favorite albums of all time, if not my absolute favorite. Emily Shell
